Here is a list of Word Press Themes that are visually appealing and free for download. There are literally hundreds of WordPress Themes freely available but we will try and only list the very best here.
Theme Tip - Instead of having a custom Theme developed find a free one and modify it to your liking. Not a developer? No worry. You can post a job on ScriptLance.com or another free lance site and have it tweaked and modified for between $50 and $100 in most cases. Sometimes for as little as $25
WordPress i3 Theme
Here is a nice Theme based on the MAC OS X look and feel. Theme and Icons by N.Design Studio , columnized by MangoOrange. The i3theme comes in three versions all of which are 3 column layouts. The 3 versions are left, centered or right versions.
This Theme is all about visual experience and ease of use. i3Theme is also widget enabled and very clean. The sidebars are expandable and collapsible to get rid of anything your users don’t need cluttering up their browser. This is a nice feature and one that sets this Theme above the rest.

BloggingPro 1.2 Theme
This is the Theme that BloggingPro uses for their site. They also have a post under Themes that illustrates some customization that has been done with the Theme. This is a very clean and professional looking theme.
The Theme also comes in 2 versions. One version uses three plug-ins to display recent posts, recent comments and most commented. The other does not require plug-ins.

fTiny Theme
Simple and clean. fTiny is a 2 column theme with colors that are easy on the eyes and a clean design. This autor actually has a dozen or so themes that all look pretty decent. This theme is not Widget ready currently.
If your don’t like flash over the top Themes this is the one for you. Enjoy.

Misty Look Theme
If you followed my advice about reading other successful bloggers blogs then this Theme will look somewhat familiar to you. This is the theme John Chow uses at John Chow dot com. It sports a 2 column layout and soft colors. This a true CSS beauty with a very functional arrangement. The feed and search box at the top are easy to find which helps readers quickly subscribe to you feed without having to search the page for the link. The top menu adds a nice touch as well and doesn’t confuse the reader with the other menus down the side bar.
This is a nice theme to also customize with your own image in the header and customize your menus the way you want them using sidebar widgets. Give this one a try and see what you think.
