Technorati Tip – Monitor reactions to your blog

Technorati TipsTechnorati is the largest blog search engine out there these days and is keeping tabs on whats happening in the Blogosphere. If you haven’t claimed your blog on Technorati and are not pinging the service with your blog updates you must do that right now.

Sign up- Sign up for a free account with Technorati and edit your profile information.

Claim your blog- Find the link to claim your blog after you have signed in.

Ping Technorati- Configure your blog platform to ping Technorati using this address http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping For more information on this check the Ping configurations.

Now for the good stuff- Now that we have the stuff you should already be doing out of the way lets get to the good stuff. Technorati can monitor the reactions from other blogs you your blog. Technorati reactions is the record of other blogs that has said something about your blog.

All you do is use a url such as http://technorati.com/blogs/successforyourblog.com?reactions to get the list of entries. To get your just replace successforyourblog.com with your domain and there you have it.

Oh but it gets even better. Instead of having to go to the actual page all the time you can simple subscribe to the feed of a Technorati Reactions page. Just copy the url into your favorite feed reader and it will find the correct feed url. Then you can subscribe to it and keep track of everything said about your blog.
