PageRank1 and proud of it

Google Page RankThis mysterious PageRank thing is happening again. This time it looks like some of the smaller sites are getting their update.

I started success For Your Blog about 4 months ago and have been blogging consistently ever since. I have also been working on writing content worth linking to, getting subscribers, and all he other things I talk about regarding creating a successful blog. Today I found out the I have now accomplished a PageRank 1. I feel this is a fair PageRank especially for a new domain and a site that has only been around for 4 months. Several PageRank prediction tools predicted I would get a PageRank 4 which is just crazy as far as I’m concerned. I’m glad to see that Google has changed their formula so that we as bloggers have something else to figure out.

So if your a new blogger or an established blogger and feel you have been unfairly ranked by Google, realize that this has happened across the board. They have just adjusted everything and sites have thus been adjusted accordingly. Keep going and don’t let one market indicator get you down.

By the way, apple.com was a PageRank 10 and have been reduced to a 9. Just happened to notice that earlier when I was checking out Leopard.

I’m surprised by this. Maybe Google hasnt completed the update. Not sure how you would get a PR1. Don’t think you’ve done anything to warrant a penalty either…perhaps your blog is still too new ie. not enough backlinks.

Yea its a mystery to me. I would have to say its domain age. My personal blog has a PR3 http://www.blantonio.us and has less links, less technorati authority, less alexa ranking and I post less on it. The only difference is its more than a year old.

This give me something to shoot for next update. PageRank 4 ;-)

Well at least mine went from 0 to 0 so I am doing very well and have nothing to complain about.
I just decided to start blogging again and my luck to come back on the week when all this pagerank thing is happening.
Actually it was good as now I can change my business plan to completely not rely on google. It’s scary to find these so called big sites being played with by google like that. We have to find a better way to do business.

Congratulation for your PR. Mine went from 0 to 2, and I started just one month ago.
