I am amazed to see the number of big blogs that still are not using FeedBurner to burn their feeds for them. By burning your feed using FeedBurner you get all kinds of great statistical data and analytical data to check out. You can also use FeedBurner to monetize your feed by adding ads at the bottom of your entries to deliver to your feed subscribers. So, what should you use FeedBurner for? Well I primarily use Feedburner to keep track of my subscribers. I can quickly log in, and see how many subscribers I have on all my blogs and FeedBurner will even break it down to how many subscribers per feed reader.

Google Reader Tip- Want to know how many subscribers a blog has that use Google Readers? Go to Google reader and click on browse, its next to the add subscription link. Then in the search keywords box enter the url of the blog you want to see. When it brings up the results of your search it will tell you the number of Google reader users that have subscribe to that blog. Since that is only the number of subscribers using Google reader you will have to triple or quadruple the number to get an estimate of total subscribers.
