Happy Halloween: Blogging Trick or Treat
In the spirit of Halloween I thought I would devote today as Tricks and treats. Since I gave an iPod Video Nano away earlier that will be the treat. Now its time for some tricks
Before I start I need to warn you. Some tricks can get you banned from certain sites so use common sense before trying any of these.
MyBlogLog and Blog catalog Tricks- I’m sure everyone has thought about this but it seems that very few are actually using it. Instead of using a boring avatar use an eye catching icon or better yet a sexy looking picture. Your sure to get people clicking on it. Its just our nature. That way as you surf around to blogs that have the community avatar pictures you will get some traffic from those sources. Kick it up a notch- Better yet bookmark all the blogs in your niche with MyBlogLog and Blog catalog communities. Save them 10 per folder. Open all in tabs and you have gotten your icon to appear on 10 blogs in just a couple clicks.
Feedburner Trick- This one I give complete credit to John Chow for as I first heard of it in his free ebook. The trick is to make it appear you have more RSS Subscribers than you really have. This causes others to subscribe because of the number of readers you appear to have. You can read more about doing this at Net Business Blog. Apparently they didn’t like their original Evil trick entitled “How I got 283K Feed Subscribers in 1 Day”. Or at least I wasn’t able to find the post anymore.
Technorati Trick- Be careful unless you want to be banned from Technnorati. This tip comes from earner’s blog. The basic concept is you use a link checker to see how many links to your blog there actually are. Then you compile the list of pages and ping Technorati so that your authority goes up thus your rank shoots up. John Chow wrote that he tried this and was banned momentarily from doing it. So again be careful and don’t get to crazy with this one.
So there you have 3 nice little blogging tricks. Be careful and blog responsibly. Do you have a trick on your blog. Post it in the comments or give us the link.
Marketing is the most money making field on this planet. Especially search engine marketing has gained top position in it. A large number of professionals are working on keyword internet marketing while sitting at home. People from different fields are trying to get in this field by just reading internet marketing tips available on websites.
