It seems Google is finally updating the PageRank and lots of big bloggers and websites have suffered a blow. Instead of increasing their PageRank they have actually dropped a couple notches. Well here’s what I have to say. It doesn’t matter. Google is going to do what they want and we are going to do what we want. Its not Google’s Internet! It’s our Internet!
I mean honestly how much of your Blog’s traffic comes from Google? 10, 15 maybe 18%? Search Engines raise and fall just like AltaVista, Lyco’s and a handful of others I can’t even remember now. I don’t care how many PhD’s they have in house. So the bottom line is if the Google’s of the world don’t want to give credit where credit is due then we move on and figure out what’s next
Ok I hear some of you out there crying because your site relies on selling links. Do you really think the link brokers are going to sit back and let your link prices fall with PageRank? Let’s face it, when you make money they make money. I hope they are smart enough to put less stock in Google PageRank and more stock in things like traffic, Technorati ranking, Alexa ranking and any other good indicator of traffic. I mean we still operate in a world where money is generated by the number of people you have looking.
So keep on blogging and doing what your doing. We are smart enough that we will keep discovering new things and growing our blogs each and every single day.
