Do you create videos for your blog? Videos are a great addition to your existing blog’s written posts. Although I have not added any video posts as of yet on Success For Your Blog, they will be added in the near future. Multimedia elements are visually entertaining and its a way to change things up to keep your blog exciting. In addition to posting video to your blog you can upload your videos to several online services such as YouTube, Revver, Google Videos and Yahoo Videos. When you create your video add your Blog’s url on the video so that when people see your video on YouTube they have a way to find your site.
So why go through the trouble of creating video, editing it, encoding it, uploading it to several services and all that. Because it works! Here are some different uses for video on your blog.
- Talking head format - Setup your camera, get in front of it and start talking. Just like Problogger, Shoemoney, and 45n5. Effective and instructional.
- Interviews - Web Pro News did a bunch of these recently at Blog World and New Media Expo.
- Be very Pretty with great expressions - Just like Justine. Hard for any guys to pull this one off.
- Walk around - Run around with the camera like John Chow
- Be instructional while demonstrating - Like Aaron Wall does on SEO Book.
