Every once in a while something kinda new hits my radar and I feel it my duty to write a little bit about it. DISCLAIMER - This is not a paid review nor have I ever met Mark or anyone else from 45n5.com
Mark over at 45n5.com has taken his blogging to a new level. About a month ago 45n5 started a Top 100 list of “Make Money Online blogs”, which quickly got pushed to the front of Digg and perpetuated the site to new heights in traffic. The top 100 list has been written about on most if not all the Top 100 blogs in the list. This was a great piece of link bait and the big fish came out to bite.
The Top 10 list is computed using a sites PageRank, Alexa rank and Technorati rank. Success For Your Blog is currently #154 on the list. I know I said it was a Top 100 but turns out the list was extended. Now our goal is to break into the Top 100 as quickly as possible. There is also a widget you can put on your blog with your Money Links rank. Success For Your Blog will be sporting our badge after the Theme upgrade (hopefully this Weekend).
Next 45n5 came up with a clever thing called Money Links which is a feed of all new posts from the Make Money Online list. So when I post this article it will show up in about an hour or so on the Money Links page. Pretty slick huh? This is a huge win-win for any site included in the list since it will just grow in popularity.
Wonder what else Mark has in store for 45n5? Maybe I’ll have to line up an interview with him in the future.

Yeah he’s been putting a lot of work into it and it’s paying off.
I’m not sure what algorythm he uses for the top 100 but it appears that pagerank doesn’t carry as much weight as it should.
Whilst Technorati and Alexa can be used for things like this, both can be easily be manipulated by bloggers (eg. inflating rank)
